Technology Use

Students have access to technology for in-school use, supporting their learning needs.  To foster responsible digital citizenship, students must adhere to our Acceptable Use Policy, which governs technology use on school-provided devices and personal devices accessing the school network. This policy emphasizes respecting others’ rights and privacy, maintaining digital etiquette, and using technology for educational purposes.

  • Computers and other technology at LMACS are solely for academic purposes, and students are accountable for their appropriate use.
  • While personal devices may be used at the teacher’s discretion, students must follow classroom guidelines and respect instructional time.
  • Students are prohibited from downloading unauthorized content, using social media, or accessing inappropriate material on school or personal devices while on campus.
  • Students cannot photograph, film, or audio record others during school hours without consent, and mobile devices are prohibited in bathrooms and stairways for privacy and safety.
  • Students are accountable for all activity on school devices loaned to them, whether on campus or remotely.

LMACS believes in supporting students as they learn to navigate an increasingly digital world. We prioritize creating a safe online environment and expect positive contributions from all students. Access to technology resources, including personal devices, is a privilege, requiring responsible use in line with school policies.  Misuse of technology, such as bullying behavior or violating device agreements, will result in disciplinary action and loss of privileges.
