Unfortunately, the City of Lowell and many surrounding towns continue to see rising infections rates according to the state’s Weekly COVID-19 Public Health Report which caused us to implement a fully remote model of instruction as announced in October. Because we are at the end of the fall term, we will continue to meet REMOTELY.
PLEASE ENCOURAGE YOUR CHILDREN TO FINISH THE FALL TERM STRONG.
- Students need to check into class every day and check their LMACS Gmail accounts for updates from their teachers.
- Meal kits for the week are still available for pick up on Monday OR Tuesday. BOTH GROUP A AND GROUP B NEED TO PICK UP THEIR MEAL KITS ON MONDAY OR TUESDAY between 12:30 and 1:30.
LMACS Winter Term will begin on Monday, November 30, 2020.
As always, we are watching the infection rates closely and although the rates are high, we are being assured by Massachusetts Department of Public Health and the Department of Education that schools are safe. We know that our building is clean and spacious enough to provide safe distancing. Given those facts, we hope to begin Winter Term in a hybrid model with ALL students attending school in person on Mondays and Tuesdays and remotely the rest of the week. THE FINAL DECISION ON WINTER TERM WILL BE MADE ON FRIDAY, NOVEMBER 20, 2020.
