Our Program

At LMACS,  we offer a flexible and comprehensive credit system designed to recognize diverse learning experiences and pathways to graduation. Students can earn credits through a variety of approved methods including passing traditional courses, transferring in credits from other institutions, utilizing online learning platforms like Edgenuity, participating in Acceleration Academy, engaging in our Learning Through Interests program, and other approved educational paths. Students complete a total of 45 credits, including state required courses, and must meet the state requirement of passing the MCAS exams. This system ensures that students receive a well-rounded education, preparing them for academic, social, and career success. Our approach allows students to personalize their learning experiences, making education at LMACS both rigorous and adaptable to individual needs.

  • LMACS prepares students for success in college, career, and beyond, fostering a community of engaged learners and empowered individuals. With a commitment to personalized learning, comprehensive support, and real-world experiences, students are guided to pursue their interests, passions, and talents through immersive real-world learning experiences, understanding that learning extends beyond the confines of the classroom.
  • Our academic year is structured into trimesters, allowing students flexibility to enter the program at several points in their educational journey.
  • Upon enrollment, students collaborate with their advisors to identify interests and goals, crafting individualized learning plans.
  • Rigorous coursework and personalized support help students excel academically, meeting expectations in core subjects like Math, English, Science, and History.
  • Through our Learning Through Interests (LTI) initiative, students engage in hands-on experiences aligned with their interests, providing insights into potential career paths.
  • Graduation requirements encompass a blend of academic credits, competency-based skills, and completion of career exploration activities.  These requirements incorporate the student’s academic journey prior to enrolling at LMACS, as well as meeting identified goals during their time at LMACS.
  • If a student’s progress remains stagnant after two successive terms, they may be placed on Academic Probation.  Students on Academic Probation participate in progress consultancy sessions with their advisor, administrators, and designated adults.  The team will develop a revised plan with requisite supports to facilitate the student’s continued progress and success, as well as assist the student in exploring alternative pathways aligned with their individual goals.
  • Our Flexible Pathways program offers tailored support to students who may be behind on credits. These opportunities include the Acceleration Academy, which provides intensive instruction to help students regain academic momentum, as well as access to online courses, allowing students to complete a portion of graduation requirements at their own pace.

We are committed to equipping students with the tools and resources necessary to explore diverse career and college options, ensuring they have a clear vision for their future.
